Healthy Eating - *Tips* Top 5 Ways to Eat Healthier

Top 5 Ways To Eat Healthier
There are lots of tips on eating healthy out there. Mine might not be the best of all, but if you try it, i bet you will be healthier than you think.
There are a lot of things to consider when planning to go on a diet... not just diet, but when planning to start eating healthy so that you can be healthy. Read on as i take you through this 5 ways to eat healthy.

1. Eat more vegetables.
Eating vegetables is more healthy than you think

Eating vegetables provides health benefits – people who eat more vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body.
2. Eat whole food (food you can grow)
Unprocessed foods will give you the most benefits...
A potato comes from the ground, an egg from a hen. But where did that Pop-tart come from? "Unprocessed, whole foods will give you the most benefits." Processing takes out nutrients such as antioxidants and fiber. What's worse is that a lot of processed foods tend to sneak in things that aren't really necessary like extra sodium and sugar. There's nothing wrong with indulging the occasional processed food craving (sometimes a bag of potato chips is too hard to resist!). But if you're trying to shop healthier altogether, be on the lookout for products that have been minimally processed.
3. Eat crunchy foods

Snacks that offer a big, satisfying crunch when you bite into them—i mean snap peas, celery, apples and nuts, not chips—keep your mouth busy longer than food you slurp. "The more you chew, the slower you eat and the more time your body has to register fullness,"
4. Drink more water (stay hydrated)
"Staying well-hydrated helps your body function properly, and it also helps make sure you don’t overeat." But it's not just that staying hydrated keeps you from overeating. According to Maxine Yeung, M.S., R.D., owner of The Wellness Whisk, sometimes you may feel hungry when, in fact, you're actually thirsty. Basically, no harm can come from drinking a glass of water.
5. Don't skip meals
"Eating regularly throughout the day keeps your metabolism running at full speed, prevents dips in your energy, keeps you alert and focused, and [can help keep] your weight steady by preventing overeating at later meals." Experts recommend eating every three to four hours. If you don't, there are a number of unpleasant symptoms you may encounter.
